II. BUSINESS EXPERIENCE:
- Youngest Engineering Department Manager at Hughes Aircraft Company in the late 1960's/early 1970's
- Owner of small business computer company in San Diego during late 1970's. Took over failing company and built it into a profitable enterprise. Sold company at a profit and retired at age 45.
- Helped organize a national computer dealers' association while owner of small computer company. This association traded software products and developed purchasing and negotiation power that would not have been available to individual companies.
III. CURRENT:
- Recreation Representative on BLM's California Desert District Advisory Council which advises the BLM on the management of over 10 million acres of California Desert
- Member of Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (ISDRA) Technical Review Team (TRT) which advises the El Centro BLM office on the use of user fees collected in the ISDRA
- Officer with the San Diego Off-Road Coalition (SDORC)
- Member of the American Sand Association, the California Off-Road Vehicle Association (CORVA), the American Motorcycle Association (AMA), the Los Pretots Desert Club, and the BlueRibbon Coalition
- Recent member of the Lakeside Community Planning Group
- Frequent contributor of articles to the San Diego Off-Road Magazine and other publications
